Privacy Policy Connecté

Website visitors

When you visit the Connecté website, we only collect information necessary for the proper functioning, security and improvement of the website. This may include your IP address, browser type and version, the pages you visit, the date and time of your visit, and how long you stay on certain pages.

The website contains several forms, such as a contact form and intake questionnaires. Depending on the form, we may ask for your name, email address, city of residence and – where relevant – additional personal or preference-based information. This data is used to respond to your message or to contact you.

Data submitted by people who are not (yet) clients will be stored for a maximum of three weeks, unless you explicitly request to stay in contact. After that, the data will be deleted unless a next step towards registration has been taken.

We use cookies and similar technologies for essential website functions, security, performance and anonymised analytics via:

  • Wix (website hosting)

  • Google Analytics (fully anonymised statistics — no tracking or profiling)

Clients and candidates

This section applies to individuals who:

  • have given explicit consent to be registered as a client or candidate,

  • and/or have entered into an agreement with Connecté.

 

During our services, personal data is processed based on:

  • your consent, and/or

  • the necessity to perform the agreement with you.

 

Connecté operates with strict confidentiality and maintains a closed, private database. We do not use a public database; only Connecté has access to full client and candidate files.

Legal bases for processing

Connecté processes personal data based on one or more of the following legal grounds under the GDPR:
 

  • Consent (e.g., intake questionnaire, permission to share profile information)

  • Performance of a contract (e.g., matchmaking services, communication, administration)

  • Legal obligation (e.g., mandatory retention of financial records)

  • Legitimate interest, including (but not limited to):

    • improving our services

    • internal administration

    • ensuring the security of systems and data

    • preventing misuse or fraud

What personal data do we process?


Depending on your situation, we may process:

  • Name, address, place of residence

  • Contact details (email address, phone number)

  • Date of birth and age category

  • Relationship status

  • Preferences, lifestyle information and relevant background details

  • Information you actively provide in questionnaires or conversations

  • Administrative details (invoices, payments)

  • Communication history (email, WhatsApp, meeting notes)

  • Other information necessary for performing the agreement

We only process personal data that is relevant and necessary for our matchmaking services or to comply with legal obligations. We do not collect more data than needed.

Where your data is stored


Some of our systems may store data outside the European Economic Area (EEA), such as in the United States. In such cases, we only use service providers that offer adequate safeguards under the GDPR, such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or equivalent protections.

Connecté remains responsible for the protection of your personal data at all times, even when third-party processors are involved.

Who has access to your data?


Access is strictly limited to:

  • Connecté (Janine)

  • carefully selected professionals engaged by Connecté who operate under a confidentiality obligation

  • processors and services with whom we have appropriate data-processing agreements (such as Wix, Moneybird, Google, Mailerlite)

Systems we use

Your data may be stored or processed in secure systems, including:

  • Wix – website and forms

  • Moneybird – invoicing and administration

  • Mailerlite – email communication

  • Google Sheets / Google Forms – administration and questionnaires

  • Typeform – questionnaires

  • Calendly – scheduling

  • Gmail / Google Meet – communication and meetings

  • WhatsApp – communication

  • iCloud / Apple Mail / Apple Calendar – planning and storage

  • Zapier – automated integrations

 

These providers process data within the EU or use approved international safeguards (such as SCCs).

Discretion & data sharing

All information remains anonymous to third parties at all times. Clients and candidates remain anonymous to each other until you explicitly consent to gradually sharing your details. Initial introductions are made using initials or anonymous profiles.

Retention period

Connecté applies the following retention rules:

  • Non-client form submissions → stored for a maximum of three weeks

  • Client and candidate data → deleted after two years of no interaction, unless you request earlier removal
     

Some data (e.g. financial administration) may be retained longer if required by law.

Security of data

Connecté ensures that personal data is handled with confidentiality and care. We take appropriate organisational and technical security measures, including:

  • secure storage (e.g. iCloud, Google Workspace, Wix)

  • strong passwords and two-factor authentication

  • device-level protection (passcodes, Face ID)

  • SSL encryption on the website

  • limited access to data (only Connecté and trusted professionals under confidentiality)
     

Although we strive to protect all data, no system can be completely immune to advanced cyberattacks. Connecté cannot be held liable for unauthorised access by third parties.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • access your personal data,

  • request corrections or deletion,

  • object to certain processing activities,

  • request restriction of processing,

  • receive your personal data or have it transferred to a third party.

We respond to all privacy-related requests within one month, in accordance with the GDPR.

Complaints

If you have concerns about your privacy or data protection, please contact us so we can address the issue together. You may submit your complaint in Dutch or English.

Changes
