After a loving marriage of 35 years, he became a widower in 2023. A profound loss that will always be part of his life story. At the same time, he looks ahead with warmth and confidence. The love he has experienced has perhaps made him even more aware of how meaningful it is to share life with someone. He is open to having a new woman by his side and to a relationship that may become special in its own unique way.
His adult daughter holds an important place in his life, and they share a close and loving bond.
His life combines the best of two worlds: he describes himself as an outdoorsman with a touch of city life. During the day, he loves walking through forests and heathland with his beloved Labradoodle, cycling and training twice a week with a personal trainer. In the evening, he is just as happy enjoying an atmospheric bistro, a good restaurant, theatre, cabaret, a concert or a beautiful film.
Travel and discovering different cultures also excite him. Whether it is a weekend in Maastricht or Paris or a journey further afield, he is curious about the world. In the future, he would love to share those experiences with someone again.
His taste in music is broad, ranging from U2 and Coldplay to Diana Krall, soul and deep house. He enjoys podcasts, follows what is happening in the world and appreciates conversations that go beyond everyday matters. At the same time, life certainly does not always have to be serious; humour, spontaneity and the ability to put things into perspective are equally important to him.
He is attracted to warmth and presence in a woman. Someone well-groomed and stylish, but above all positive, open, honest and emotionally mature. A social and curious woman who embraces life, enjoys laughing and doing things together, while also making room for genuine connection.
